How will Home Information Packs (Hips) Affect Chartered Surveyors?
The introduction of the home information pack (hip) in the early part of 2007 will mean a significant shift in the way residential properties are appraised. The emphasis will shift away from merely surveying a property for bank valuation purposes (as is the case in 80% of residential sales) to providing a more detailed Home Condition Report (HCR) likely to be similar to a RICs Homebuyers survey and valuation (HSV), this will bring many new opportunities for the professional Chartered Surveyor / Home Inspector.

Hipsco is set to be a major supplier to the home information pack (Hip) market, we are fully committed to making the transitional period following the introduction of the home information packs (hips) as smooth as possible. What do I do now?
