Hips delay “inexcusable” says APHC
Clive Dickin, chief executive of the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC), has slammed the government’s decision to delay the introduction of Home Information Packs as “inexcusable”.
Clive Dickin said: “I am angry and disappointed at the government for taking this backward step. Home Information Packs will not only help consumers in the buying and selling of their homes but will also help to get rid of the rogue traders who make people's lives a misery.
“I am also disappointed in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, whose legal action prompted the government to delay HIPs. I recognise that they are only looking after their members’ interests but these packs are for the greater good of both consumers and trades.” |
